It’s never too early to begin the quest for knowledge…heck, we humans begin doing so from day one whether we realize it or not. While most of the games I cover are fit for ages eight and over, I’d be negligent if I didn’t mention “Tinker Wheels”, a project that aims at a much younger audience (specifically kids that are in preschool, kindergarten, and the first grade). This game’s main goal is to help those youngsters hone their reading and writing skills…what parent worth their two cents wouldn’t want to introduce their toddlers to games that are both educational and fun?
Project creator Aubrey Jones from Jones Product Design, LLC had this to say:
“An innovative learning literacy game for kids in preschool, kindergarten, and first grade.
Tinker Wheels is an engaging activity game that helps children read, write and construct sentences in a grammatically correct way. It’s a new concept that is different from electronic gadgets, workbooks, or anything on the market. Kids can take Tinker Wheels anywhere. No batteries required or charging needed. Each of the 10 pods are self contained and compact. You will never have to look for any pieces like a puzzle.
Tinker Wheels comes with 10 self contained units, or pods, featuring 5 themes that every kid loves – travel, pets, play, zoo and music. The set includes 2 different difficulty levels to start engaging your little one as early as 2 years of age. Tinkers Wheels also comes with a marker so kids can practice writing on the write-on/wipe-off surface on the front of each pod. It is a great way to help kids practice their writing skills right on the pods designated white area.
Kids in preschool, kindergarten, and first grade will develop their literacy skills while having a blast tinkering with the wheels and finding the matching word or sentence for each picture.
Get the Tinker Wheels limited first edition unit set early bird special with EXTRA rewards. It includes the RED PAPER CRAFT DIY 3D CAR, a PRACTICE HANDWRITING & WRITING PROMPT COLLAGE sheet (printable/PDF), set of 6 STICKERS containing illustrations of the Tinker Wheels Friends, and a BOOKMARK.”
