Normally I’d post something like this on my news feed, but front page posts tend to be a bit more visible. That’s important, because I want to let as many people as I can know how thankful I am for all of the support you’ve given over the last five(?)…six(?)…seven(?) years. Without you, I wouldn’t have been able to surpass my latest milestone: reaching 30k YouTube subscribers. My ultimate goal is to get to 100k, but it’s cool to know that I’m almost a third of the way there.
For those of you who don’t know about or follow my news feed, which admittedly doesn’t get updated very often, I’ve got a lot of things going on.
I started a Twitch channel to replace YouTube for my live-streaming…A) because it features more options and B) YouTube’s monetization/ad policy has been shady for the last year or so. I’m trying to diversify and not put all of my eggs into one basket should something happen. Follow me there if you’d like! I stream 2-3 times a week, sometimes more.
Aidalee and I have been together for a little over six months now and I’m pleased to report that she still makes me very happy. Both she and Vinnie also recently started creating content on their respective channels so it’s been an interesting change compared to how things used to be, to say the least. I really, really miss my ferrets and other dog Lucy as I haven’t seen them in over a year now. I can only hope that they are doing OK and are happy.
I’m medically still in a rut and I have a feeling it’s going to be that way for a long, long time. My PCP and every specialist I’ve been to thus far have basically told me that it’s in my head. The pinching in my back is not in my head, nor is the choking feeling I get in my neck / inflammation like symptoms I get in my stomach after eating almost anything. I have a feeling it’s some sort of food sensitivity that isn’t anaphylactic serious. I used to be able to exercise for an hour a day and now, I’m always short of breath no matter what I’m doing. 20+ ER visits, 20+ different medications, and countless therapy sessions later…let’s just say that I’m tired. I’ve stopped it all and whatever happens, happens. I want to live my life and not be a medical experiment, not to mention I’d like to stop being judged by Doctors as “crazy”. Hopefully I can get some answers one day but for now, I’m just living with the 24/7 pain.
I can’t wait to retire from my regular full-time job to do content creating full-time. That brings me to the shameless promotion part of this article. The best way to support me is through Patreon and as a reward for doing so, I will give you a shout-out every month and more than likely, a free Steam key. The quality of the game and the chance of getting one at all is based on the amount contributed, but there are plenty of $1/month supporters who have gotten at least five keys from me. You can donate via PayPal if you want, or use my Amazon, Chrono.gg, GreenManGaming, or Humble Bundle affiliate links to give me a small cut of whatever you buy (at no cost to you). Word of mouth is also very important, so share my videos on your social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace (is that still a thing?), Reddit, Instagram…whatever!
Since my time is very limited at present (what with me raising a teenager, working a full-time job, and being medically ill), my primary focus is video game content which can be found on my YouTube and Twitch channels. I’ll come back to board game content at some point. I will still take and honor jobs related to previewing or advertising tabletop games as it helps to pay the bills. Potential customers: if you’re reading this and want me to preview your game…nothing over 45 minute play times please. Complicated and long-drawn out games just aren’t in the cards right now (see what I did there?). If you love board game content I apologize, but you should know that I have a very extensive set of reviews right here on this website. There’s a good chance that you haven’t assimilated it all and there’s also a good chance that you haven’t seen all of the board game videos featured on my YouTube channel. Find some older content and enjoy (hopefully)!
Thank you all for your continued support and as always, keep on gaming!
