Some of you are no doubt under the impression that you’ve played every type of “Rummy” game known to man, and it’s very possible that you have…until now. “Draw Blood”, a “Rummy” style, monster card game, is currently seeking your help on Kickstarter to add some spooky thrills to your otherwise normal “Rummy” game. It plays like “Rummy” in that you’ll be trying to get rid of your cards by playing melds, though you’ll have to keep your monsters alive in order to do so.
Draw Blood – A “Rummy” Style, Monster Card Game

“Prepare to sink your teeth into Draw Blood – a “rummy” style, classic monster card game currently seeking funding on Kickstarter! The game consists of 54 uniquely designed cards and supports a game of 2-3 players. The Standard Deck includes 3 types of Monster cards (Vampires, Werewolves and Water Monsters) and 3 Kill Cards.
Draw Blood is a casual card game like most rummy games, but the ability to play Monsters adds a whole new dynamic. Players lay down Melds to go out, but in Draw Blood you must lay down a Monster first. Sounds easy, right? It would be, except there are many ways your opponent can kill your Monster! Of course you can kill your opponents’ Monsters as well and prevent them from laying down Melds! The action is fast paced, and several hands take no time at all. But the real fun is that each player can adopt their own strategy on how to play the game.
We wanted to run a simple Kickstarter campaign that gets a deck of Draw Blood cards into as many hands as possible, so even at the lowest reward tiers, you can walk away with a copy of the game! Also, if successfully funded we hope to launch an Expansion Deck within the next year that will introduce even more game elements. So if you grew up playing casual card games like Uno, Crazy Eights or even Rummy, Gin and Rummy 500, AND if you love classic Monsters – you are going to love Draw Blood!
