Salutations, friends. I am taking a quick time out from reviewing games to bring a piece of important news to your attention.
At the time of writing (9/17/12), McNeill Designs is looking to expand their game, “You’ve Been Sentenced!”, beyond the cards that you might find in that all familiar red box. They’re asking for your help in getting their game onto mobile applications like smartphones, tablets, interactive whiteboards, and the like. You can find their project page by clicking on the following link:
“You’ve Been Sentenced!” on RocketHub
If you are familiar with websites like Kickstarter, then you’ll be right at home with the overall design of RocketHub. For those of you who have never seen this kind of site, it helps individuals and companies fund projects via support from the public. Interested parties make a pledge at the pre-determined levels and often receive rewards for doing so. I’ve seen a lot of projects fail and succeed through sites like this, so one must ask…why am I giving special attention to this one?
As I’ve stated in my reviews (links below), “You’ve Been Sentenced!” is highly educational and a lot of fun to play. I also believe that their goal of bringing educational fun to the classroom to be extremely worthwhile and noble. It’s always been my belief that mankind is capable of being more than the sum of its parts once money, greed, and power are replaced with things like education, wisdom, and self-awareness. Teaching kids the value of forming grammatically correct sentences will only serve them (and society) well into their respective futures.
With all of that said, feel free to stop by their project page and pledge your support if you are able to do so. If you are unsure of how these kinds of projects work, there’s an intro page that explains what the site is and how it works, located here:

No problem! I’m happy to support games with an educational theme.
